House warming at the links (excerpts — October 20, 1904)

The club-house is to be hereafter conducted more on the plan of the house of a country club, and plans have been suggested for winter sports and a committee was recently appointed to consider the matter. Among the sports contemplated are skating and tobogganing. The low ground between the golf house and the way leading to the railway track will be flooded and the toboggan slide built on the steep declivity just beyond the club house. It is probable that a series of social affairs will be held in the evenings, during the winter season.
